Rite Aid Expands NowClinic Online Services

Updated

Rite Aid announced that it has widened the scope of its NowClinic Online Care services. The offering is now accessible directly in an additional 58 stores in Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh.

NowClinic is a suite of services that, in the company's words, "offers Rite Aid customers real-time access to quality and convenient medical care, information and resources from doctors and Optum nurses." Access is through dedicated facilities in selected stores, or via the Internet.

Customers who pay a fee for NowClinic may have consultations with doctors, who can discuss and diagnose afflictions, and prescribe certain medications. Conversations with nurses, which are complimentary, are also offered for advice on other health-care concerns.
