Ready your credit cards: Bejeweled the board game is here

Not sure if this is the jump the shark moment for PopCap's Bejeweled, but the hugely popular puzzle game that pretty much defines the match-3 game genre got the IRL treatment courtesy of Hasbro, resulting in this:

The first game pictured, titled Bejeweled, is a tabletop version of the match-3 game we all know and love, and can be played with up to three others. The goal it to "see who can swap and capture the most gems." Bejeweled the board game is available now for $19.99 at various big box retailers.

The card game is called Bejeweled Frenzy and is billed as a "fast-paced card game for 2-4 players." The game can be purchased for $14.99.

We first heard about the Bejeweled board games back in January, when Hasbro snagged the license to this popular online game series. And, this is the second time recently that Hasbro has bridged the gap between virtual and real-world games. In 2012, the toy company partnered with Zynga to create a FarmVille and Hungry Hungry Hippo mash-up called Hungry Hungry Herd and other bastardizations of beloved board games that defined many a childhood.
