Remember that game you played for about 15 minutes to get a free coupon to use at Toys "R" Us? Well, Ubisoft will soon release its branded social game, Toys "R" Us Towers, on iOS devices. Inside Social Games got a look at the game in action on an iPad during the publisher's Ubisoft Digital Day event this week, and it looks to be terribly close to the Facebook version.
Ubisoft Senior Partnership Manager for Mobile and Social Damnian Dale told ISG that Toys "R" Us Towers on iOS will be more focused on increasing player engagement than make money. Apparently, video ads will be prominent within this version of the game, as well as geolocation mechanics with push notifications when players are near a Toys "R" Us location, ISG reports.
Toys "R" Us Towers on iPhone and iPad is expected to launch either March or April.
