Deno Posey, Payment Operations Manager in Birmingham Ala., Receives Regions Bank's Top Associate Honor

Wins Better Life Award for Dedication to Associates, Customers and Community

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Regions Bank (NYS: RF) today announced that Deno Posey, Payments Operation Manager in Birmingham, Ala., is the February 2013 recipient of the Regions Bank Better Life Award. The Better Life Award is the top honor given to an associate of Regions for outstanding dedication and job performance, as well as exemplary involvement and commitment to the community.

Posey serves in the bank's Operations Center in Riverchase. Thirty years ago, he started at an entry level position and since then has worked in and provided leadership for many different areas, including the mailroom, proof and more. More recently, he has played a vital role in many operational improvements, including being instrumental in the extension of the bank's transaction cutoff time to 8 p.m.

"Deno leads by example. He puts others first and his positive attitude encourages those around him," said Cindy Rogers, head of Regions Operations and Technology. "He is truly a role model for everyone here, because of his caring sense of leadership and vast experience."

Posey has also channeled his positive attitude and sense of humor toward entertainment. In addition to working with various non-profit groups, such as the YMCA, Toys for Tots and his church, Posey has made a name for himself on the comedy circuit - performing at the Stardome Comedy Club, for local charities and religious organizations.
