CastleVille 'Astrall Hall' Quests: Everything you need to know

The Mage Academy event in CastleVille has expanded yet again this week, as players can now expand out to Astral Hall and help defend the building from Faugrimm and the Gloom Beasties. There are eight quests in this new Astral Hall series, and we're here with a guide to finishing them off, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!

Happy Explorer!

  • Find the Mage Academy Astral Hall in the Gloom

  • Investigate Astral Hall


The expansion that contains the Astral Hall can be unlocked by with 100 Castle Level Points, one Exploration Crystal, and 1,000 coins. You'll be able to finish this quest by simply clicking on the Astral Hall building. You'll receive 2,000 coins and 40 XP for finishing this quest.

Puff of Smoke

  • Have 3 Wizard's Cloaks

  • Prepare 1 Conjuration Spell

  • Use 1 Weed-B-Gone


The Wizard's Cloaks are earned via a general news item posted on your wall. Meanwhile, the Conjuration Spell is a blue Celestial spell that requires three Alchemist's Powders, three Green Feathers, and three Wool to prepare. Finally, the Weed-B-Gone is used to remove Snapweeds from items in this new expansion. It can be crafted inside the Workshop using five Ogre's Belches, two Amber, four Yellow Feathers, and two Poppy Seeds per batch. If you need more Poppy Seeds, you can earn them by posting general news posts on your wall. You'll receive 2,500 coins and 50 XP for finishing this quest.

Practice Makes Perfect!

  • Clear 5 Bushes

  • Collect 5 Pails of Water

  • Cast 1 Summon Structure Spell


The Pails of Water can be earned by tending bodies of water in your Kingdom. You'll receive 2,500 coins, 50 XP, and a Small Energy Potion for finishing this quest.

It's All About Protection!

  • Collect 8 Gummy Boots

  • Collect 4 Beeswax

  • Use Weed-B-Gone 5 Times


Each item in the Astral Hall expansion may require more or less units of Weed-B-Gone to clear. Thankfully, this quest doesn't ask you to use five on one single item, so you can clear multiple items over time so long as you eventually spend five. You'll receive 2,500 coins and 50 XP for completing this quest.

Banish the Storm!

  • Banish the Gloom Tornado

  • Banish 2 Beasties

  • Craft 2 Sweet Buns


If you don't have any Beasties in your Kingdom, make sure to check your inventory for any sorts of potions that you can use to summon them. If you don't have any, and don't wish to purchase any, you can also just tend items like flowers and animals in your Kingdom for a chance to draw out Wolves. As for the Sweet Buns, you can prepare these inside the Kitchen using one Flour Sack and six Sugar per Sweet Bun. Each takes 90 minutes to finish. You'll receive another 2,500 coins and 50 XP for finishing this quest.



Laboratory Labor

  • Craft 3 Magic Carpets

  • Use 10 Weed-B-Gone

  • Buy 3 Decorations


If you'd like to save your coins while completing this quest, you can purchase decorations like pieces of fencing or barrels for just 200-300 coins each. You'll receive 2,500 coins, 50 XP, and a Conjuration Spell that you can use later when you finish this quest.

Shore It Up!

  • Craft 3 Storm Wards

  • Upgrade the Astral Hall

  • Collect 3 Disappearance Dusts


This quest sees you helping Professor Plume protect the Astral Hall from future attacks, and you can start it by asking your friends to send you the Disappearance Dusts. As for upgrading the Astral Hall, you'll need to collect items like Bronze Bars in order to complete this project. Bronze Bars are created using three Copper Trinkets and three Silver Ores each. You'll receive 2,500 coins and 50 XP when you finish this quest.

Blip!

  • Use Weed-B-Gone 12 Times

  • Cast the Teleportation Spell

  • Craft 3 Teleportation Tethers


The Teleportation Spell allows you to teleport around the map. When you're in teleport mode, your avatar will even glow for a neat effect. Finishing this final quest gives you 3,250 coins, 65 XP, and Winky the Goat. These quests don't have a time limit in our games, so feel free to work on them at your own pace, rather than feeling pressured into finishing them fast. Good luck!
