NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Korea Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYS: KF) , a non-diversified, closed-end investment company, which seeks long-term capital appreciation through investment in securities, primarily equity securities, of Korean companies, today announced its results for the fiscal quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2013.

(a) Under its share repurchase program, the Fund repurchased 115,400 shares and 678,255 shares for the fiscal quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2013, respectively.
RCM Capital Management LLC ("RCM") serves as the Fund's investment manager. Effective April 1, 2013, RCM merged in Allianz Global Investors U.S. LLC ("AGI U.S."). In connection with the merger, the name of the Fund's investment manager changed from RCM to AGI U.S.
