Rouse Properties Adds Dunham's Sports as Anchor Tenant at Colony Square Mall
- Dunham's Sports Flagship Concept to Occupy 65,000 Square Feet -
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rouse Properties, Inc. (NYS: RSE) , a national owner and operator of regional enclosed malls, today announced that Dunham's Sports, one of the nation's largest sporting good chains, has signed a lease to open a 65,000 square foot flagship concept at Colony Square Mall located at 3575 Maple Avenue in Zanesville, Ohio.
"We are excited to announce the addition of Dunham's Sports as a high-profile anchor at Colony Square Mall," said Brian Harper, executive vice president of leasing for Rouse Properties. "Dunham's Sports' commitment to Colony Square is a testament to the mall's attractive position in the market. This will be Dunham's Sports' flagship store, replacing the former Sears anchor. This lease was executed within 30 days of Sears' closing, further exemplifying Rouse's speed to the market and active management of our portfolio."
Colony Square Mall is a single-level, regional enclosed mall that serves as a core retail hub for seven counties in Southeastern Ohio and attracts nearly six million visitors annually. Built in 1981, the 610,000 square foot shopping center is also anchored by jcpenney, Elder-Beerman and a 12-screen Cinemark Theater. Colony Square Mall is home to 80 specialty retailers including American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale and Victoria's Secret and features a number of sit-down, casual restaurant chains and a popular food court. In the past two years, Rouse Properties has added The Children's Place, Justice and Longhorn Steakhouse to Colony Square Mall's retailer lineup.
