Infoblox Helps Global Businesses and Governments Guard Against Growing Cyber Threats

Common Criteria EAL-2 certification and network control solutions reinforce security

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Infoblox Inc., the automated network control company, today announced that it has become the first and only DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP address Management) vendor to achieve Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL-2) certification. The certification, in combination with new security offerings, demonstrates Infoblox's commitment to protecting customers from evolving security threats.

Common Criteria is one of the highest internationally recognized sets of guidelines for evaluating security product features and capabilities. Infoblox products covered by the certification include Infoblox Trinzic DDI^TM, Infoblox GRID^TM and Infoblox Trinzic Reporting^TM. The Common Criteria evaluation was performed in accordance with both the international Common Criteria standards (ISO/IEC 15408) and the guidance provided by the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS), known as the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), an organization managed jointly by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA).

As threats grow in volume and sophistication, the DNS underpinnings of these services has become a target for a new class of malware that seeks to exploit DNS. In January 2013, Infoblox introduced new security offerings to help government and enterprise customers better manage such challenges and address the emerging threat landscape.
