NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ: TW), a global professional services company, today announced locations and dates for its "Ready for 2014: Road to Exchange Solutions" road show.

Confirmed events are as follows:

  • Minneapolis — March 28

  • Cincinnati — April 4

  • Dallas — April 11

  • San Francisco — April 18

"The purpose of our road show is to help employers get ready for January 1, 2014, when some of the most important provisions of the health care reform law go into effect," said Bryce Williams, Towers Watson's managing director for Exchange Solutions. "However, given the newness of reform, we expect employers to take a thoughtful approach when making decisions about how to leverage it, and to take action only if it's right for any or all segments of their active workforce or retiree populations."

Events will feature a high-level discussion of potential health care benefit strategies in light of health care reform. They will also highlight OneExchange, a new health benefit solution from Towers Watson that offers employers proven, end-to-end, integrated, private and public exchange-based solutions for full-time, active employees; part-time employees; and both pre-Medicare and Medicare-eligible retirees.

"OneExchange combines Extend Health's market-leading exchange platform with Towers Watson's expertise in health benefit design and strategy," said Dave Osterndorf, Towers Watson's chief health care actuary. "It enables employers to make sustainable, long-term decisions about health benefits that make sense for their organizations in a post-reform world."

Towers Watson speakers include:

  • Bryce Williams, managing director for Exchange Solutions or
Benjamin Pajak, SVP, strategy and business development for Exchange Solutions

  • Dave Osterndorf, chief health care actuary or
Mark Maselli, managing director for Health and Group Benefits

  • Mike Shepherd, senior consultant, Communication and Change Management or
Bill Greene, senior consultant, Communication and Change Management

Each three-hour event will feature discussions on how employers can move toward high-value plan strategies while assessing whether to leverage emerging exchange solutions for some or all of their covered employees and retirees. Also, representatives from Fortune 500 companies that now use private exchange solutions will speak about their current experiences and offer their perspectives on the future.

Road show events are by invitation only. Employers interested in attending may contact alissa.federspiel@extendhealth.com for more information.
