Sempra Energy Q4 Revenues and Net Rise

Sempra Energy has reported rising numbers in its Q4 and 2012 results. For the quarter, the company's revenue totaled $2.67 billion. That was 2% higher than the $2.60 billion of the same period the previous year. Net income was $293 million ($1.18 per diluted share), a 3% improvement over Q4 2011's $285 million ($1.18).

Those numbers beat the average analyst estimates, which were for a top line of $2.63 and EPS of $0.98.

Revenue for fiscal 2012 was $9.6 billion, a 4% decrease from 2011's $10.0 billion. Net income was also lower on a year-over-year basis, coming in at $859 million ($3.48 diluted EPS), or 35% below the previous year's $1.3 billion ($5.51).


Looking forward, Sempra said it expected EPS of $4.30-$4.80 for fiscal 2013.
