Kosmos Energy Misses on Revenues but Beats on EPS
Kosmos Energy (NYS: KOS) reported earnings on Feb. 25. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.09. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.06 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.09 were the same as the prior-year quarter. GAAP EPS of $0.08 for Q4 were 11% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.09 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 89.4%, 80 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 38.4%, 490 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 14.4%, 120 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $226.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.07.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.03 billion. The average EPS estimate is $0.24.
The stock has a two-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 11 members out of 15 rating the stock outperform, and four members rating it underperform.
