Amazon Prime Strikes Another Exclusive Deal: FX's "Justified"

Amazon Prime just keeps getting sweeter. Today, Sony Pictures Television decided to partner with the e-commerce giant and make Prime Instant Video the exclusive online subscription home for FX Network's "Justified."

As one of Prime's most-watched series, Amazon customers had purchased episodes at $1.99 each. Under the deal, each new episode will be free for streaming as part of the $79-a-year cost of a Prime membership. Additionally, customers will have access to the hit crime drama "The Shield."

In Amazon's press release, John Weiser, president of U.S. distribution for Sony Pictures Television, was quoted as saying, "We have a great relationship with Amazon and we're excited to give fans more opportunities to view these two great dramas... We know Amazon's Prime Instant Video service is the ideal platform for viewers to see their favorite episodes of these critically acclaimed series and to also open the show up to new audiences who we know will quickly get hooked on them."

Earlier this month, Amazon also struck exclusive subscription deals with CBS's anticipated series "Under the Dome" and PBS's hit "Downton Abbey."
