3D Systems Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings

EPS came in at $0.13. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.20 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.13 for Q4 were 18% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.11 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.19 for Q4 were 73% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.11 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 51.7%, 470 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 17.9%, 210 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.7%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $98.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.17.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $445.9 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.81.
