Ambassadors Group CEO Resigns

Updated

On Monday after close of trading, educational "travel experiences" provider Ambassadors Group announced that President and CEO Jeffrey D. Thomas has resigned. Also resigning is Margaret M. Thomas, the company's executive vice president and president and COO of its Ambassador Programs operating subsidiary.

No explanation was given for the abrupt departures -- not even the customary "to spend more time with their family(ies)" or "to pursue other opportunities." Instead, Ambassadors said it has appointed Senior Vice President and CFO Anthony Dombrowik interim CEO while the board of directors conducts a search for a permanent one.
