This Company Forgot the Meaning of Revenue

In the following video, Brenton Flynn outlines a gaffe from health care company Volcano Corporation . In a recent press release, the company outlined revenue in a way that required a follow-up disclosure only minutes later. While the company is to be commended for quickly fixing its mistake, the oversight begs the question: Is management even reading these things before they go out?
