Pan American Silver (NAS: PAAS) reported earnings on Feb. 21. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Pan American Silver whiffed on revenues and missed estimates on earnings per share.

EPS came in at $0.36. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.37 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.36 for Q4 were 41% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.61 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.24 for Q4 compared to $0.89 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 47.4%, 3,310 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 28.4%, 1,100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -11.7%, 5,660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $288.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.38.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.17 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.58.
