Pan American Silver (NAS: PAAS) reported earnings on Feb. 21. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.36. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.37 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.36 for Q4 were 41% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.61 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.24 for Q4 compared to $0.89 per share for the prior-year quarter.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 47.4%, 3,310 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 28.4%, 1,100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -11.7%, 5,660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $288.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.38.
