Insurance Auto Auctions Announces Grand Opening of Omaha Branch

IAA expands Midwest presence and enhances service offerings for customers with new state-of-the-art branch in Nebraska

WESTCHESTER, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA) the leading live and live-online salvage auto auction company and wholly-owned subsidiary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYS: KAR) , today announced the grand opening of its newly expanded, state-of-the-art branch in Springfield, Neb. The 35 acre branch features a number of key facility enhancements which provide access to increased inventory and greater conveniences to both buyers and sellers.

In addition to an increase in overall acreage, the new IAA Omaha branch features a covered storage area to allow for more specialty vehicles such as motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles. While currently operating with a single lane, the facility also has the capability of a dual-lane sale, which enables more efficient and more frequent bidding and gives providers more opportunities to sell their vehicles and buyers more options to bid on the vehicles of their choice. The branch also offers vehicle inspection center office space, making it easier for adjusters and other industry personnel to efficiently manage all aspects of their work onsite. The facility will be run by 12 full-time employees.

"Both buyers and sellers will benefit from the new features at our expansive Omaha location as these branch enhancements allow us to offer a greater selection of inventory to better meet the needs of our customer base." said Tom O'Brien, chief executive officer at Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. "IAA offers the broadest facility footprint in the nation and we are constantly looking for ways to enhance our services across the network to ensure we're delivering the best experience to our customers."

Omaha branch auction information: Located in Springfield, Neb., at 14749 Meredythe Plz., Springfield, NE 68059, West of Omaha on I-80, exit 400 and South on Hwy 50 approximately 7.5 miles from Omaha. Auctions take place on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.

In addition to IAA's facilities located across the country, the IAA Buyer App gives buyers the option to bid on up to eight auctions at a time using their mobile phones and make purchases anytime, anywhere using the recently launched I-Pay service. The IAA Auction Center offers auctions in six languages, including: English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, French, Polish and Russian. A portion of IAA's vehicles are sold and exported to foreign countries, which further strengthens its philosophy of choice and flexibility with "anywhere" access and mobile technology.

IAA follows strict regulatory compliance at the federal and state levels and is well versed in all state titling laws as well as buyer and seller licensing.
