best-paying internships: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn at Google

Working at Google has become such the stuff of legend that even aging box office frat bros Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn will be taking internships there in a film this summer. This year, Google ranked as the best-rated company for interns, according to job review site Glassdoor.com. There is something striking, in fact, about all the companies on its list: They all pay great -- and Silicon Valley pays better than Wall Street.

This is the age of the ubiquitous unpaid internship, which last year culminated in three class action lawsuits against movie studio Fox Searchlight Pictures, the "Charlie Rose" show, and publishing empire Hearst. But the best-rated places to intern, Glassdoor.com found, all pay at least $4,000 a month -- and some pay $6,000 a month or more.
