Constellation Invests Additional $450,000 in Baltimore Energy Challenge & City Schools Sustainabilit

WHAT:

Constellation is investing an additional $450,000 to further the goals of the Baltimore Energy Challenge and City Schools Sustainability Challenge, both programs of the Baltimore Office of Sustainability and the Baltimore Community Foundation. Since 2009, more than 80 schools have participated in energy and sustainability projects.

WHY:

Young people are critically important to furthering the goals of the Baltimore Sustainability Plan. As tomorrow's leaders, they need to participate fully in their own futures. This investment allows the implementation of the program in additional schools and communities.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake and Superintendent Alonso will sign the "Energy Challenge Pledge" beside the wind turbine built by students.
