Stonesoft Adds VP Sales to U.S. Team

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Stonesoft, the network security vendor, today announced the addition of Chris Townsend as Vice President of Sales for Federal and Mid-Atlantic. Townsend is responsible for Stonesoft's growth and integrated business plan for the Federal and Mid-Atlantic Enterprise markets.

Townsend previously held senior sales leadership positions at Cisco Systems managing Cisco's Federal Civilian Region and worked with accounts such as VA, Military Health, NASA, DOE, FAA, and others. Previously, he also held senior sales positions at CheckPoint Software, and Network Associates (now McAfee).

Based in Washington, D.C., Townsend says his main focus is building a seasoned sales team and channel partners that are focused on cyber security solutions.

Townsend is committed to the support of returning veterans, especially those with disabilities, and volunteers annually at the VA Winter Sports Clinic, Wheel Chair games, and Summer Sports Clinic. Townsend holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the State University of New York, Plattsburg.
