Scana Raises Dividend

Scana has declared its latest quarterly dividend. The company is to pay $0.5075 per share of its common stock on April 1 to shareholders of record as of March 11. That represents a raise of 2.5% over the previous payout of $0.495, which was disbursed last December.

Scana typically increases its dividend at the beginning of each calendar year. Those raises are usually modest.

The new payout annualizes to $2.03, yielding 4.2% on the company's closing share price of $48.75 on the day when the dividend announcement was made.
