Leap Wireless International Misses on Both Revenue and Earnings

EPS came in at -$1.71. The 18 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated -$1.57 per share. Non-GAAP EPS were -$1.71 for Q4 compared to -$1.18 per share for the prior-year quarter. GAAP EPS were -$0.96 for Q4 compared to -$1.10 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 41.4%, 130 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -2.2%, 100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -9.8%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $787.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is -$1.29.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $3.09 billion. The average EPS estimate is -$3.82.
