Omnicare (NYS: OCR) reported earnings on Feb. 19. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.86. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.85 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.86 for Q4 were 48% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.58 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.06 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $0.54 for Q4 were 100% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.27 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.06 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 24.6%, 150 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.0%, 60 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.9%, 190 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.55 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.86.
