Textron's AAI Wins Navy Contract Worth Up to $7 Million

Updated

On Thursday, Textron's AAI Logistics & Technical Services unit announced that Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia has tapped it to perform performance-based logistics work on EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft, E2C Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft, and C-2 Greyhound cargo planes.

Specifically, AAI will forecast demand, schedule repairs, and provide, store, and keep inventory of some 110 hydraulic components needed to conduct repairs on the planes.

The contract runs for an initial three-year term, with two one-year extensions possible. If both options are exercised, and the contract runs for a full five-year term, AAI says it will be worth $7 million in total.
