Precision Drilling Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines
Precision Drilling (NYS: PDS) reported earnings on Feb. 14. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.21. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.18 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.42 for Q4 versus $0.10 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 38.8%, 640 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 16.4%, 890 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -21.8%, 2,660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $594.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.29.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $2.11 billion. The average EPS estimate is $0.78.
