Clayton Hired to Reconfigure Egyptian Helicopter

On Wednesday, the Department of Defense announced that it has awarded a small Peachtree, Ga., business -- Clayton International, -- a $7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order to provide depot-level maintenance for the Egyptian Air Force's H-3 Variant Helicopter Program under the Foreign Military Sales Program.

The program in question provides maintenance services for Egypt's fleet of Sea King helicopters (built by the United Technologies subsidiary, Sikorsky). The present contract specifically hires Clayton to reconfigure a single MK-2E helicopter to the MK-2 utility configuration , including conducting any rewiring of the helicopter that is necessary.

Work on the contract is expected to be complete by December 2014.
