Molina Healthcare of Florida Selected to Participate in Florida Long-Term Care Program

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYS: MOH) today announced that the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has awarded to Molina Healthcare of Florida, Inc., contracts in three regions under the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care (SMMC LTC) program. The three regions awarded are Regions 5, 6, and 11, which encompass Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, Highland, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. As a result of the awards, Molina will now enter into a comprehensive pre-contracting assessment, with the program currently scheduled to commence on December 1, 2013. Under the program, Molina Healthcare of Florida will provide long-term care benefits, including institutional and home and community-based services.

Molina Healthcare has many years of experience in coordinating care for individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. The Company's health plans in California, Illinois, and Ohio were recently selected to participate in dual eligible demonstration projects set to begin in those states later this year.

Molina Healthcare of Florida currently operates both Medicaid and Medicare health plans, with total membership of approximately 73,000 as of December 2012. Additionally, Molina Healthcare of Florida owns and operates two primary care clinics in Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach through its affiliate, Molina Medical Group.
