ASCE Orange County Names RBF's Rudinica Civil Engineer of the Year
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Michael Rudinica, P.E., executive vice president of RBF Consulting (RBF), a Company of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), has been selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Orange County Branch, as Civil Engineer of the Year.This award, among a number of awards of excellence to be presented by ASCE, will be a part of the February 21, 2013, annual awards dinner during National Engineers Week at the Center Club in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Rudinica has spent the past 36 years in the profession of Civil Engineering, focusing his attention in the area of water resources, bringing a safe and reliable water supply to millions of people across the areas his clients serve.He has served as the Principal-in-Charge and in key technical capacities for projects across the United States and internationally.His expertise in comprehensive master planning and engineering design for complex water, wastewater and recycled water systems has helped to keep the engineering field at the forefront of leading-edge technology. Rudinica currently serves clients of RBF as a special project expert in the west and in arid regions on some of the most complex water projects in the nation and the world.
Projects highlighting Rudinica's career have included regional groundwater recharge and recovery projects, desalination facility feasibility studies, desalter projects, the Beverly Hills reverse osmosis treatment complex, Prado Dam Outlet Works Project, and water, wastewater and reclaimed water facilities for Palmilla and Cabo del Sol, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, master-planned development and golf courses.
