DeNA partners with four new developers, brings new games to Mobage

Updated

Last November, 10 new developers joined DeNA's Mobage family, giving iOS and Android gamers even more options for meeting new friends in the palm of their hands. Now, four additional developers have joined as Mobage partners, and two third party games have already launched on the service as part of these agreements.

The four new developers include Machineworks Northwest (the developer behind the Prey and Duke Nukem mobile games), Grab Games, 4PLAT, and Oktagon Games.

In addition, Grab Games' 777 Slots has already been given the Mobage treatment on Android, with the game coming soon to iOS. 777 Slots allows players to try out multiple slot machine boards as they enter into multiplayer tournaments and try to win progressive jackpots. Bringing social play into the mix, players can climb worldwide leaderboards and compare their chip totals with those of friends and strangers alike in their bid to be the top high roller. Finally, Oktagon Games' Viral Collapse rounds out the additions to Mobage this week, as the match-three game asks players to make matches of three or more like-colored viruses to remove them from the board. As matches are made, one virus is left behind, adding challenge to an experience that's normally lacking in strategy.

"We set out last year to find the best developers that align with our vision for gaming, and we're excited to bring these new games and those following soon to the Mobage platform," said Barry Dorf, senior director of DeNA's third-party relations, via a company release. "Through these new partnerships, we're supporting our company's vision of delighting players by offering a variety of fun and engaging mobile gaming experiences to consumers."
