C&J Energy Services (NYS: CJES) reported earnings on Feb. 13. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.65. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.68 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.56 for Q4 were 44% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.00 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 36.7%, 670 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 17.3%, 1,720 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.6%, 1,370 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $301.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.70.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.26 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.91.
