Amazon to Stream CBS Classics and Fan Favorites

Updated

Amazon Prime members are in for a treat: they'll now have access to CBS's classic and hit TV shows like "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "
America's Next Top Model." The deal also includes series from CBS' Showtime Networks.

This is the first time CBS has offered to stream its series library online. The news comes just two days after Amazon announced that it will be the exclusive online home for CBS' summer series "Under the Dome" produced by Steven Spielberg and based on Stephen King's best-selling novel. Under the deal, episodes of the show will be available for streaming four days after airing on TV.

Director of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon Brad Beale said:

CBS was one of our earliest content partners for Prime Instant Video and our Prime customers have consistently told us how much they love having access to great CBS and Showtime shows. Adding a wider selection of great TV series, while extending our already popular selection of CBS programming, continues to make Prime an even better deal for customers -- and we love that.

As part of Amazon Prime, customers will be able to instantly stream and enjoy these shows at no additional cost.
