Obama to Chat on Google+ Thursday

Updated

Two days after the State of the Union address, President Obama will join Google's Google+ to take questions online.

Set for Thursday at 4:50 p.m. Eastern Time, the president's "Fireside Hangout" will include live questions from selected participants and from pre-submitted video or text questions. Much like the Fireside Hangouts held by Vice President Joe Biden, YouTube will moderate the online discussion and President Obama will respond by a live camera feed. If similar to past White House Hangouts, the discussion will last for 30 minutes to an hour.

Anyone online can send in a question on the White House YouTube channel before 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday.
