FairPoint Energy Expands in New Hampshire; Inks Agreement With PNE Energy Supply
Customers to Maintain Same Pricing and Contract Terms Alongside New Opt-in Choices for Green Energy
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- FairPoint Energy, a regional provider of affordable, green retail energy, today announced it has purchased residential and small commercial customer accounts from PNE Energy Supply LLC, a competitive electricity provider for customers in New Hampshire, and will soon begin serving the acquired customer accounts. Following a seamless transfer of accounts, the acquired customers will enjoy the same type of energy services they have received in the past as well as the option to choose green energy. This acquisition is evidence of the momentum FairPoint Energy has built as well as its ability to deliver on its commitment to quality for its customers. FairPoint Energy currently serves customers in Maine and New Hampshire.

FairPoint Energy will continue to serve the acquired customers under the same contract length and pricing, with additional opt-in choices including FairPoint Energy's 100 percent green energy product. Customers will continue to be billed by the utility. The only change they will see on their utility bill is FairPoint Energy identified as their energy supplier. The acquired customers will receive a letter providing detailed information.
