Clearwire Misses on Q4 Revenue, Net

Clearwire has released Q4 and 2012 results showing that it fell short for the quarter. For Q4, the company took in $311 million in revenue, down from the $317 million of Q4 2011. Net loss was $187 million ($0.28 per share), which wasn't as deep as the year-ago quarter's $237 million ($0.81).

On average, analysts had been expecting revenue of $313 million and a net loss of $0.27 per share.

For the full year, Clearwire posted revenues of $1.26 billion, which slightly bettered 2011's $1.25 million. Net loss deepened to $729 million ($1.01 per share), from the previous year's $717 million ($2.70).


The company is currently the subject of buyout offers from Sprint Nextel and DISH Network.
