Wozniak: Apple Somewhat Behind in Smartphone Features

Updated

Apple's most ardent fans might not like what company co-founder Steve Wozniak was quoted recently as saying about the iPhone.

In an interview published in the German magazine Wirtschafts Woche, Wozniak responded to the interviewer's comment mentioning recent doubts about Apple's continued dominance in the smartphone market:

"Currently we are, in my opinion, in the smartphone business with the features somewhat behind. Others have caught up. Samsung is a great competitor. But precisely because they are currently making great products," Wozniak said, according to a translation from the German using Google Translate.

This is not the first time Wozniak has expressed appreciation for devices from an Apple competitor. Last April, as reported by The Verge, he told interviewers that he was quite impressed with Microsoft's Windows Phone interface. "I'm kind of shocked. Every screen is much more beautiful than the same apps on Android and iPhone," he was quoted as saying.
