International Flavors & Fragrances Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings
International Flavors & Fragrances (NYS: IFF) reported earnings on Feb. 7. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.83. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.86 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.83 for Q4 were 177% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.30 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 42.2%, 430 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 14.6%, 50 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.0%, 620 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $753.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.13.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $2.93 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.35.
