EMPLOYERS® Inducted into Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Hall of Fame

RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- EMPLOYERS®, America's small business insurance specialist®, has been inducted into Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) Hall of Fame. The award recognizes Greater Reno-Tahoe's top technology companies and entrepreneurs. EMPLOYERS' senior vice president and chief information officer Richard Hallman will accept the award from Lt. Governor Brian Krolicki at the 2013 NCET Awards Dinner at the Atlantic Casino Resort and Spa on February 21, 2013 at 5:00pm.

The NCET Board of Directors nominated and voted to induct EMPLOYERS into its Technology Hall of Fame for the way it uses innovative technologies to service its customers better and grow its business. EMPLOYERS has invested in internally deployed and cloud-based services that streamline its policy submission workflows providing more self-service capabilities to its customers, and making its business processes more efficient. The company also recently upgraded its data center technologies in Reno and Henderson to provide greater performance and scalability for future business growth.

The company's vision of technological transformation goes beyond new systems. Hallman and his team have focused on training staff to maximize the company's investment in its technology infrastructure.

These efforts helped EMPLOYERS' revenue grow by more than 30 percent in 2012 while holding its expenses relatively flat.

"Over the years EMPLOYERS has successfully instilled a work culture throughout the organization that emphasizes technological innovation, investment and best practices," said Dave Archer, president and chief executive officer of NCET. "The ability to translate these themes into actionable results is a big reason for the continued success of EMPLOYERS and we are honored to induct the EMPLOYERS team into the NCET Entrepreneurship and Technology Hall of Fame."

"This is an incredible accomplishment and recognition of the entire team's hard work and the positive impact it has had on our company," said Hallman. "We are honored to be receiving this award from NCET."
