Western Union Expands in Argentina: Company Signs Money Transfer and Bill Payment Agreement with Carrefour Argentina

Western Union First Financial Service Provider to Work with Carrefour in Argentina

Western Union Services to be Available Across 120 Carrefour Locations

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Western Union Company (NYS: WU) , a leader in global payment services, today announced it has signed an agreement with Carrefour Argentina, a leading retailer in the country, to offer Western Union® global money transfer and bill payment services in Argentina.


Western Union is the first financial services provider to work with Carrefour in Argentina, a company with a presence in 22 of the 24 provinces throughout the country - complementing Western Union's in-country network. The Western Union money-transfer and bill payment service is now available at select Carrefour locations with rollout plans to be implemented across 120 strategic Carrefour locations.
