Mortgage Guaranty CIO Retires

Mortgage Guaranty, the core business unit of MGIC Investment announced that its chief investment officer has retired. James Karpowicz, who also holds the position of senior vice president treasurer, is to leave the company on March 1.

Karpowicz has worked at the company since 1986, when he joined it as assistant treasurer. He has been in his current positions since January 2005.

The company also announced that Lisa Pendergast has been promoted to vice president treasurer. She has been with MGIC since 1998, and currently serves as assistant treasurer. Before her current position, Pendergast also worked as the company's treasury operations manager and investment portfolio analyst.
