Advisory Board Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings
Advisory Board (NAS: ABCO) reported earnings on Feb. 6. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.28. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.30 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.12 for Q3 were 48% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.23 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 45.7%, 10 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.2%, 430 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.8%, 420 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $118.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.31.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $449.1 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.21.
The stock has a one-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 44 members out of 79 rating the stock outperform, and 35 members rating it underperform.
