Good Times Restaurants Inc. Announces Continued Sales Increases

GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Good Times Restaurants Inc. (NAS: GTIM) today announced its same store sales increased 10.2% for the month of January on top of last January's 8% increase and an increase of 6.4% for the first four months of its fiscal year. The Company also reported that sales for its new breakfast daypart featuring $2 Hatch Valley Green Chile Breakfast Burritos continue to grow and have recently exceeded 8% of total sales mix.

Commenting on the sales trends, President & CEO, Boyd Hoback said, "We are thrilled with our continued sales gains and especially with how quickly our Breakfast Burrito program has gained traction, given the challenge of establishing a new daypart in the QSR segment. Our promotional activity is beginning to taper off with sales holding nicely and it does not appear we are having any cannibalization of sales in other dayparts. We certainly hope to keep that momentum as we prepare to rollout our new `Hand Breaded, All Natural Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Tenders,' which we plan to support with a market-wide, multi-layered cable television advertising and promotional campaign."

The company reported that it is finalizing a new creative platform for the ad campaign with which to tell the story of both the new Springer Mountain Farms all-natural chicken tenderloin introduction and its Meyer Natural Angus all-natural Angus beef. Hoback added, "We continue to move the Good Times brand toward an all-natural, handcrafted position and we have what we believe is a compelling new approach to our advertising that we feel will support that position in a unique and creative way. It has been several years since we've used television advertising, so we're excited to augment all of our store-level and trade-area activity with marketwide, brand-building communications."

Meyer Natural Angus is the only major beef brand that has earned both the Certified Humane designation for its animal husbandry practices and the American Culinary Federation's Seal of Approval for superior quality. The cattle are fed a vegetarian diet of grasses and grains, and are never given hormones or antibiotics. Springer Mountain Farms Chicken is the first poultry company in the world to be American Humane Certified by the American Humane Association.Their chickens are not only 100% All Natural with no steroids or hormones, but also are produced with no antibiotics. All of their chickens are fed solely a pesticide-free, vegetarian diet.
