Cincinnati Bell Picks New CEO

Cincinnati Bellannounced Thursday that it is promoting Ted Torbeck, formerly president and general manager of its Cincinnati Bell Communications subsidiary, to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the entire company. Torbeck, a former CEO of Cerberus Capital's arms manufacturing subsidiary, Freedom Group, will succeed former CEO Jack Cassidy, who has been elected vice chairman of Cincinnati Bell's board. Torbeck joined Cincinnati Bell in 2010.

Cassidy is also chairman of the board of CyrusOne, the Cincinnati Bell data center subsidiary that was spun off earlier this month.
