ChefVille 'Ducks on Ice' Quests: Everything you need to know
The Chinese New Year event in ChefVille has already become one of the most intense, complex features we've ever seen released in the game, but it becomes even more so with the launch of the Duck Freezer and its associated quests called "Ducks on Ice." These three quests will be available for only eight days, and we're here with a guide to completing these quests, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!
On Frozen Pond
Place and Build the Duck Freezer
Tend Duck Freezer 4 Times
Eat 6 Dishes at Neighbors' Restaurants
The Duck Freezer costs 1,000 coins to purchase in the store, and must be unwrapped using three energy. From there, you'll need to collect four Chinese Money Trees, four Feng Shui Fish, four Chinese Dragon Boats, and four Chinese Firecrackers. The Chinese Money Trees and Feng Shui Fish are earned by posting general news items to your wall, while the other two items can be earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors. Once you've finished the Duck Pond, you'll obviously be able to use it to collect Duck,which can then be used in recipes within the Chinese New Year Wok. For
completing this first quest, you'll receive three Eggs, two additional Duck, and 10 XP.
Duck Druthers
Ask for 8 Duck Recipes
Earn 1 Mastery Star on Peking Duck
Serve 3 Calzones
The Duck Recipes can be earned by asking your friends to send them to you, while the Peking Duck is a 12-hour dish within the Chinese New Year Wok. It requires four Duck, two Onions, and two Black Bean Sauce to cook. The Black Bean Sauce can be created by utilizing a combination of Black Bean Crates and the Chinese Sauce Station. As for the Calzones, these are prepared inside the Brick Oven using one Tomato Sauce, one Dough, and one Mozzarella each. A single Calzone takes six hours to cook, and you'll unfortunately need to wait for all three to be served, which will take you at least 18 hours. You'll receive two Soy Sauce, two Asparagus, and 20 XP for completing this quest.
Feast of Fowl
Serve 3 Kung-Pao Chicken
Craft 6 Dough
Cook 5 Egg Rolls
The Dough can be created in the Mixer using two Flour and one Milk each. Since you likely have many Mixers, you can cook a single Dough in each, all at the same time, and finish this particular task more quickly than you would otherwise. When you complete this final quest in the Duck Freezer series, you'll receive a Chinese Lion Statue, three Duck, and 30 XP.
Again, these quests will be available to complete for eight days, and while it's possible that Zynga may change some of the requirements listed between now and then, this at least gives you an idea of what to expect. Good luck!
