ChefVille 'A Better Bigger Wok' Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

Proving that Zynga can take a simple idea and turn it into something that's completely out of hand, the Chinese New Year event in ChefVille has one more quest series (at least) that's been thrown onto our plates. This one sees us unlocking the Intermediate level upgrade for the Chinese New Year Wok, and cooking tons of dishes within the overall appliance. Once again, we're here with a guide to help you complete these new quests, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!

No Wok Unturned

  • Upgrade the Chinese New Year Wok

  • Serve Steamed Dumplings 3 Times

  • Give 7 Chef's Services with Chinese Hot Pots

The upgrade to the Chinese New Year Wok requires four Good Luck Charms, four Bao Wows, four Dragon Picks, and four

Red Parasols to unlock. The Good Luck Charms and Bao Wows can be earned by posting general requests to your news feed, while the other two items are earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors. Thankfully, the two dishes that are required for this quest can be cooked even before you finish the upgrade, so you can work on cooking them while also waiting for those building materials to arrive from friends. A single serving of Steamed Dumplings can be cooked in two minutes using four Beef, two Flour, and one Salt. Meanwhile, the Chinese Hot Pots take three Beef, two Romaine Lettuce, and one Black Bean Sauce. They take an hour to cook, and if you're lucky, you'll be able to complete the seven chef's services after coking the dish only a single time. When you complete this quest, you'll receive two Duck, 10 XP, and 15 coins.

Raise the Red Basket

  • Have 8 Red Gift Baskets

  • Cook 4 Egg Rolls

  • Serve 3 Cantonese Roast Duck

The Gift Baskets are earned by asking your friends to send them to you, while the other items must be cooked in your restaurant. Remember, to save time, you can always start the Egg Rolls and then cancel them over and over again, until you've "cooked" four, but keep in mind that you'll lose all of your used ingredients either way. When you complete this quest, you'll be given two Black Bean Sauce, 20 XP, and 30 coins.

Not So New Anymore

  • Serve 2 Kung-Pao Chicken

  • Craft 6 Dough

  • Cook 3 Tangy Orange Chicken

The Dough can be cooked on your Mixers using two Flour and one Milk each, and you can cook multiple Dough at the same time if have multiple Mixers available, along with enough ingredients. As for the Tangy Orange Chicken, this dish is actually cooked in the original Wok using five Oranges, five Chicken, and two Salt per serving. It takes six hours to prepare, but if you don't want to wait for it to actually finish cooking each time, you can simply start the dish and immediately cancel it until you've completed this task, since the quest says nothing about actually "serving" this particular dish. For completing this final quest, you'll receive a Lion Dancer decoration, four Eggs, and 30 XP.

You'll have 10 days to complete these quests. Good luck!
