Amazon Prime Locks In Exclusive "Downton Abbey" Streaming Deal

Updated

Amazon Prime will be the only place fans can stream PBS' critically acclaimed Downton Abbey.

Currently, Prime members can stream Seasons 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey; they are the most-watched TV seasons of all time on the service, according to Amazon. Starting June 18, customers will be able to stream Season 3. Amazon's exclusive deal extends to Season 4 and, if produced, Season 5. Later this year, no digital subscription service other than Prime Instant Video will offer any seasons of Downton Abbey.

Prime Instant Video now spans more than 36,000 movies and TV episodes. All are available to stream on Kindle Devices and Kindle apps. Prime Instant Video comes free with Amazon Prime -- Amazon's $79-a-month service that includes free two-day shipping and access to Amazon's lending library.
