Updated

Every holiday's a party in Electronic Arts' popular iOS game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out. We've seen Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas content. Now it's time for Valentine's Day, with love front and center. EA populated virtual Springfield with a variety of V-Day-themed items and characters, but to get these goodies, you'll need Hearts, which function as a limited time currency. That said, here are the best ways to get more Hearts.

-First and foremost, keep in mind that the Valentine's Day content will only be available until February 28, 2013.

-To give Hearts, visit your friends virtual Springfields and tap on their buildings to send Valentine's Day cards.

-When friends return the favor, you'll notice "Be Mine" icons above characters' heads. Simply tap Homer and the rest of the gang to collect Hearts.

-Add as many friends as possible. The more friends, the more Hearts to go around. Simple, yes?

-Locate/recruit friends through Origin, Facebook, Gmail or your personal contacts.

-Complete missions around Springfield for different rewards, like XP and Cash. Some are easy enough, like making Lisa bring a Valentine to the Van Houten House. Others require you to purchase characters and items to make these missions available, using either Hearts or Donuts.
