Throw your own Pool Party in the Sims FreePlay

Updated

What better way to escape the cold and snow of winter than to dive into a virtual summer paradise right in the palm of your hand? That's the case with the latest Sims FreePlay update, as it brings Pool Parties to the game on iPhone or iPad.

For players that have reached at least Level 20, pools are now available for construction, and these can be upgraded or decorated with items like slides, inflatable chairs, volleyball nets, and more. Combine this with the game's existing grills, patio chairs, and gardening items and your Sim(s) can now throw and attend their very own pool parties! If you've yet to reach Level 20, your Sims can still have some watery fun via the Swimming Center that can also be built in your town.

Of course, it would be silly to see your Sims splashing around in jeans and t-shirts, so the Costume Store has been updated with new swimwear options to help your Sim look the part and get ready for some virtual summer fun. What's more, once your town has a Swimming Center, you can have your Sims compete in diving competitions for a chance at other virtual rewards.

This update and the Sims FreePlay itself are both available to download now for free on iOS. If you'd like to see this update in action before updating, check out the new gameplay trailer below.
