Ice Age Village goes under the ice in new Dino World update

Updated

Since being released back in April of 2012, Gameloft's Ice Age Village has been downloaded over 40 million times on iPhone and iPad. While the base game was designed in honor of the fourth Ice Age film, Ice Age: Continental Drift, there's plenty of additional content in the Ice Age franchise to pull from. That's what Gameloft has done with the first major gameplay update of 2013, as a brand new update has been released taking the game underground into Dino World.

This dinosaur-themed world takes players back in time to the release of the third film in the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and it introduces a new gameplay mode called Collect Frenzy, in addition to new dinosaur characters that you might recognize. These dinosaurs will each have their own habitats, as you've come to expect, and they come in both flying and ground-based varieties.

In anticipation of this release, Gameloft has created an interesting behind the scenes trailer detailing the development of the game and the new update, which you can check out below.
