ChefVille 'Dance of the Dragon' Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

The Chinese New Year event in ChefVille contains more than just the Chinese New Year Wok, as you can now build a Chinese New Year Dragon via the "Dance of the Dragon" quest series. This will see you building the Chinese New Year Dragon by cooking specific dishes, and we're here with a guide to help you get started!

Build the First Dance

  • Place the Chinese New Year Dragon

  • Collect 3 Fortune Cookies

  • Finish the First Stage of the Chinese New Year Dragon

The Chinese New Year Dragon starts as just a frame, and its first stage requires five Fortune Cookies to complete. These Fortune Cookies are earned when you serve Steamed Beef Dumplings from the Chinese New Year Wok. This appliance must be built in your restaurant before you can cook anything within it, and you can find our complete guide to the Chinese New Year Wok right here. Once it's built, the Steamed Beef Dumplings can be cooked using four Sirloin Beef, two Flour and one Salt. The dish takes two minutes to cook.

When you have collected five Fortune Cookies, you can click on the Chinese New Year Dragon frame to see that these Fortune Cookies will finish only one section of the Dragon, while the rest will remain a frame. Completing this first quest gives you four Chicken, 10 XP, and 50 coins.

Pushing the Envelope

  • Ask for 8 Red Envelopes

  • Give 8 Roses to Customers

  • Finish the Second Stage of the Chinese New Year Dragon

The Red Envelopes can be earned by asking your friends to send them to you via a general news post on your wall. As for the Chinese New Year Dragon, Stage 2 of its building process requires you to collect 10 Fortune Cookies by cooking additional Chinese dishes. When you finish this second quest, you'll receive two Black Beans, 20 XP, and 500 coins.

Dinner and a Show

  • Collect 4 Fortune Cookies

  • Finish the Third Stage of the Chinese New Year Dragon

The Fortune Cookies in this quest can be earned by serving Chinese Hot Pots. These Chinese Hot Pots are prepared inside the Chinese New Year Wok using three Beef, two Romaine Lettuce and one Black Bean Sauce. It takes one hour to cook. You'll need to cook this dish twice in order to earn the four Fortune Cookies. When you finish this quest, you'll receive two Marinated Beef, 30 XP, and 50 coins.

Dragonballs, See

  • Ask for 10 Baoding Balls

  • Collect Fortune Cookies by Serving Peking Duck 3 Times

  • Finish the Fourth Stage of the Chinese New Year Dragon

The Baoding Balls can be earned by asking your friends to send them to you. While you're waiting for those to arrive, you can work on the Peking Duck, a 12-hour recipe that requires four Duck, two Onions, and two Black Bean Sauces to create. You'll earn the first star of mastery for this dish after cooking it just twice, so that's something to keep in mind as well, especially if you're just about to unlock your next land expansion in your restaurant. For completing this fourth quest, you'll receive two Black Bean Sauce, 40 XP, and 50 coins.

A Cooking Legend

  • Have 10 Dragon Legends

  • Finish the Final Stage of the Dragon

  • Collect 60 Fortune Cookies

The Fortune Cookies in this case can be earned by cooking multiple Chinese dishes - not just specific dishes - with Fortune Cookies being earned for each one. You'll receive a Gold Ingot, four Black Beans, and 50 XP for completing this final quest in the Dance of the Dragon series, but stay tuned for more, as this Chinese New Year event will likely continue to expand in the future. Good luck!
