Sterling Construction President, COO, Treasurer Retires

On Monday, Sterling Construction confirmed that President, Chief Operating Officer, and Treasurer Joseph P. Harper Sr. has retired from these offices, although he will remain a member of the board of directors.

The company's board has chosen Chief Executive Officer Peter E. MacKenna to take over the office of president and additionally assume the duties of COO. Chief Financial Officer Elizabeth D. Brumley will take over as treasurer.

In other personnel news, the heavy civil construction firm announced that it is promoting Craig Allen to the positions of senior vice president and chief human resources officer.


Sterling shares were trading lower on the announcements, down 1.3% to $10.00.
